The most holy, saintly Christian and the most God hating pagan have this in common – both are in desperate need of the gospel. The pagan needs the gospel in order to be saved. The Christian, once saved by the gospel, needs the gospel to live the Christian life.
The Apostle Paul wrote, “All over the world, this gospel is bearing fruit and growing, just as it has been doing among you since the day you heard it and understood God’s grace in all its truth” (Col. 1:6).
The gospel of Jesus Christ is what saves us and it is the instrument of all continued growth and spiritual progress, even after a believer’s conversion. All of the remaining issues in our lives stem from our failure to apply the gospel. Continue Reading>>>
