George Thank you for posting this article. This is one I need to keep close to me at all times.

This is a fantastic article George! Can you maybe add what you specifically think about some of these points. Specifically speak to what you think about the point about Vision and the "We've never done it like that before" mentality. Could you also please clarify why you would post this and the "church growth/pragmatism" article, they seem to contrast each other. Also this article suprisingly has no scripture attached to it, why do you think that is?

I don't think the seven last words of the church are a huge problem for GFC because we are a relatively young group. Two points that struck me: Pastors are focused on the disgruntled people AND he church has become a small static group, with little vitality. People remember the “good ol’ days.”

We need to focus on the believers who are anxious to go on with the Lord and not spend too much time with people who refuse instruction from the leadership of a local Church. I think we have been a "small static group" far too long. I still sometimes hear people refer to the little white building in town where things "were" happening back then.

I don't know why the author did not use any Scripture references, although as you read different portions of the Bible come mind.

I don't see the contrast between this article and the pragmatism post.
