I have never blogged before, so for my first post I will do some miscellaneous stuff.
I received an e-mail from my brother in the Lord Dave Miller, informing me that he now had his own blog. I checked it out and when I posted a comment on his blog I discovered that I had started a blog some time last year, but never posted anything. So here is my first one.
On another note, I've been listening to quite a few sermons this week regarding the topic of "The Social Gospel". It is kind of difficult to get ones fingers around this topic and come away with a clear, concise statement as to what exactly is meant by "Social Gospel".
I've also been studying "prophecy" - I know - you're thinking "not another doomsday propheseer". What I'm actually studying is what is called "Amillennialism", which is something that I was taught as a young child in my school in Mexico.
Well, I think this is all I will do for my first post.
Scriptures teach consistently that faith comes through the proclamation of the gospel, not through good works. Christ himself was not arrested and arraigned because he was trying to restore family values or feed the poor...The mounting ire of the religious leaders toward Jesus coalesced around him making himself equal with God and forgiving sins in his own person, directly, over against the temple and its sacrificial system. Michael Horton
The purpose of this Blog is to introduce men and women all over the World to the Doctrines of Grace; the 5 Solas; Reformation Theology and the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

This is so much better than facebook. I'm going to try and capture as many of my thoughts as possible.
As for being a dooms day sayer, I know enough of them, I guess if you won't be doing that I guess I'll still hang out with you.
But don't get too mixed up about "Social Gospel". I think that its just as easy to say "good deads".
I love you Brother
Yo yo,
Welcome to the blogging world!
I have social gospel related posts ready to go onto my blog... so when I find the time I'll start putting them up.
